Poisoned Waters

This two-hour PBS FRONTLINE investigative documentary examined water pollution and regulatory loopholes in the nation’s waters. As the field producer for the Chesapeake hour, Catherine reported the story, gained cooperation of sources and scouted and helped produce the filmmaking on the field. She also spent several weeks fundraising for the documentary with correspondent Hedrick Smith. The documentary spurred the White House to write an executive order to renew Chesapeake Bay cleaning efforts and the EPA to impose stricter pollution rules. It is also why she is now on a mostly plant-based diet.
